FDA Recalls X-Rock Male Supplement – X-Rock makers of an OTC male sexual supplement have come out of the closet about unlisted ingredients which pose a threat to those taking the product.

The FDA found during testing on the male supplement X-Rock, that the product contained sildenafil, an approved drug to treat erectile dysfunction and related substance, hydroxythiohomosildenafil. X-Rock came clean via a statement on the FDA’s website, voluntarily recalling the product.

“These undeclared active ingredients pose a threat to consumers because sildenafil and hydroxythiohomosildenafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs (such as nitroglycerin) and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels,” X-Rock Industries said.

It’s common knowledge that men who experience erectile dysfunction often suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and heart disease and are more likely to be taking nitrate based medications. X-Rock also noted in their statement on the FDA website that they were unaware of any reports of adverse reactions to the supplement.

X-Rock is ‘out on a limb’ after touting the supplement product on the company’s website, XRockme.com, as “totally organic.” The website stated it  contained “many potent, proprietary natural ingredients — absolutely no chemicals or steroids.”

X-Rock purchasers can return the product by calling 877-976-2563 between 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET Monday through Saturday for more information on getting a refund, the company said in its release.

No doubt after learning the deflating news that the product is ‘not 100% natural’ former X-Rock supplement users will rise to the occasion with the assistance of some opportunistic attorneys, and call ‘foul’ with some legal action.

Google officially unveiled its new augmented-reality glasses from its secret initiative Project Glass on Wednesday, releasing the video seen below along with pictures of employees wearing the new Google glasses.

In this Google Plus post, employees at Google’s research lab Google X asked for input from interested parties on features and functions on the futuristic eye-wear developed under Project Glass.

“We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input,” the three employees wrote. “Please follow along as we share some of our ideas and stories. We’d love to hear yours, too. What would you like to see from Project Glass?”

The prototype version of Google glasses showed off on Wednesday looked like a pair of futuristic wrap-around glasses with a clear computer display that sits above the right eye. The hi-tech glasses include a built-in camera to record video or take pictures and can send and receive messages through voice commands.

According to Google employees, the glasses will use a low-resolution built-in camera to monitor the vicinity in real time and overlay information about locations, surrounding buildings and friends who might be nearby.

They use a unique navigation system – a head tilting to scroll and click. Users say it is easy to learn and once the user is adept at navigation, it becomes second nature and virtually indistinguishable to outside users.

In the video, a  man wanders around the streets of New York City, communicating with friends, seeing maps and information, and snapping pictures. The video concludes with him video-chatting with a girlfriend as the sun sets over the city.

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley was arrested Tuesday in Alabama on a charge of possessing marijuana, authorities said.

Citizens called to complain that Fairley’s Cadillac Escalade was speeding through a lower-middle class neighborhood in Mobile, Alabama, said city police spokeswoman Ashley Rains.

Officers smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and found a small amount in an ashtray, Rains said.

Fairley and a passenger were booked into Mobile’s metro jail facility on a misdemeanor marijuana possession. Fairley was released a short time later on $1,000 bail.

Fairley was a standout at Auburn University and the Lions’ first-round draft pick. As a junior, he was the Lombardi award winner as the nation’s top lineman and helped led the Tigers to the 2010 national title.

The Lions released a statement saying they were aware of what happened with Fairley and that they were continuing to gather information.

“We hold all of our players to a high standard of behavior and the recent charges against Nick and Mikel Leshoure are not consistent with those standards,” the statement says. “We are extremely disappointed.”
