Occupy Wall Street Rape – There have been two sexual assaults on teens at the Occupy Wall Street camp in Zuccotti Park leading to an arrest of a NYC man.
Occupy Wall Street has been the scene for rape and sexual assault with one victim 18 years old reporting to police she was raped in a tent in the camp, and another 17-year-old protester said she was groped in her tent. Police have arrested 26 year old Tony Iketubosin for both incidents.
The 18 year old rape victim told police she had an argument with her boyfriend with whom she was sharing a tent in the Occupy Wall Street Camp. She left her tent at approximately 6 a.m. on Saturday and met Iketubosin who told her she could use his tent while he went to work in the camp’s kitchen. The victim alleges that she accepted the offer only to wake up a short time later when Iketubosin forcibly raped her.
The 17 year old victim had met Iketubosin when he offered to put up her tent. The following morning she discovered him inside the tent and attempted to grope her in spite of her repeated requests that he leave. Iketubosin has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse in connection with that incident and the rape charge continues to be investigated by the NYC police.
